Hi! Coach J here!
Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!
Last month, we spent time acknowledging our progress.
Not just where we are today... But everything it took to get here. We talked about giving ourselves credit. We talked about recognizing the parts of our journey that no one else could see.
We challenged ourselves to stop introducing ourselves to life as the version of us that struggled. And together, we closed June with one simple reminder:
Now walk like you believe you've grown.
As I began thinking about July, one question continued to come to mind... If we're truly walking like we've grown... what does that actually look like?
Not while we're encouraging others. Not while we're accomplishing goals. Not while we're checking things off our to-do lists.
But later...
When the day is over.
When the house gets quiet.
When your head finally reaches the pillow...
Only to discover...
Your mind has scheduled one last meeting.
Why Your Pillow Was Never Meant to Be a Meeting Room...
The quote of the month- "Growth isn't only reflected in how hard you work. Sometimes it's reflected in knowing when your workday is over."
Remember, Steady, But Forward.
>> Your Pillow Was Never Meant to Be a Meeting Room.
Have you ever noticed how quickly bedtime can become a brainstorming time?
One minute you're trying to fall asleep.
The next...
You're replaying conversations. Planning tomorrow. Remembering something you forgot to do. Mentally responding to emails that haven't even been sent.
Creating solutions to problems that haven't happened yet. Somewhere along the way... Many of us unknowingly turned our pillows into meeting rooms.
We convince ourselves that if we think about something long enough, we'll somehow be more prepared for tomorrow.
It feels responsible.
It feels productive.
It even feels necessary.
But let's pause for a moment...
Has midnight worrying ever actually made tomorrow easier? Or has it simply stolen today's rest?
>> When Growth Means Logging Off.
One of the biggest lessons from June was learning to acknowledge our growth.
But growth isn't only reflected in confidence. Or healthier boundaries. Or celebrating milestones.
Sometimes...
Growth quietly reveals itself in the moments no one else sees.
The moment you decide not to answer one more email.
The moment you stop replaying a difficult conversation.
The moment you realize that not every problem deserves your attention after hours.
Understand that Walking like you've grown also means trusting that today's effort was enough for today.
>> Supporting the Person You're Becoming.
Growth doesn't happen by accident.
It requires intention.
Care.
Patience.
Grace.
Support.
We often think about supporting everyone else.
Our families.
Our friends.
Our coworkers.
Our clients.
But how often do we intentionally support ourselves?
Sometimes supporting your growth looks like saying "no."
Sometimes it looks like asking for help.
Sometimes it looks like taking a break before you're exhausted.
And sometimes...
It looks like closing the meeting room in your mind and allowing yourself to simply rest.
Not because everything is finished.
But because you deserve to experience peace before perfection.
>> The Old Version Still Tries to Clock In.
Here's the interesting thing about growth...
The old version of us doesn't always disappear overnight. Sometimes it quietly tries to clock back in.
It whispers...
"You should keep thinking about it."
"You haven't done enough."
"You need to figure this out tonight."
But the person you're becoming gently responds...
"I've done what I could today."
"Tomorrow deserves my energy—not tonight."
"Rest is part of the work, too."
That isn't laziness.
That isn't avoidance.
That's wisdom.
> This Week's Challenge:
Each night this week... When your head finally reaches the pillow... Pay attention to what your mind begins asking of you.
Then ask yourself one simple question: "Does this belong to tonight... or does it belong to tomorrow?"
If the answer is tomorrow... Allow yourself to close the door.
The meeting is over.
Coach J's Final Thoughts:Walking as you've grown isn't only about how you carry yourself during the day. It's also about how you care for yourself at night.
Your growth deserves support. Your peace deserves protection. Your mind deserves rest.
So tonight...
Remember this...
Your pillow was never meant to be a meeting room. If it can't be solved in pajamas... It can wait until tomorrow.
As we move through July together, I hope that we continue learning what it truly means to support the person we're becoming.
Not hurriedly.
Not perfectly.
But... Steady, but forward.
Join Me This Wednesday

This week's #TruceWithinWednesday will continue this conversation as we explore practical ways to support our growth, establish healthier mental boundaries, and continue moving steady—but forward.
I'd like for you to join me.
In closing, I hope the remainder of your week is as amazing as you are. As always, be kind to yourself and others this week!
Until next time ...
